Oh The Humanity! 2012
Oh The Humanity! was curated by Kelly Thompson, Stephanie Allespach, Sydney Croskery, Clifford LeCuyer, Alexx Thompson, and Susan C. Weber. The exhibition was held at the Pomona Packing Plant on December 8th, 2012.
In an increasingly growing climate of mistrust, anger, paranoia, war, and waste, six artists showed how to
find empathy, compassion, and hope for a better future. Whether it be intellectually or physically, the artists strived toward recognizing our common bonds--making a positive impact on each other and the world around us. The curators believed everyday actions and ideas can bring change on a global scale.
From ecology, global awareness, social-political efforts, to exercises in personal growth, the exhibit served as a reminder to the artists and audience to recognize our common bonds as human beings. The artists hoped to inspire and practice tolerance and compassion, to build on the ideas of simple joy, and to support those we know as well as strangers.
